You Are At The Center Of Your Care
Participative Patient Care Delivery
With our participative patient care system, each patient is at the center of their health care. Patients, with their expertise and understanding of their own needs, are the primary member of the health care team, and are fully involved at all stages of their care.
In addition to active patient and family participation, health care team collaboration is an essential part of patient care. Experience has shown that working collaboratively fosters the best environment for sharing ideas that will improve care and outcomes.
To maximize communication and coordination of care, patients are assigned a Primary Care Nurse, a concept that brings the registered nurse back to the bedside to provide clinical care. This means that the same nurse will assess your needs, plan your care, provide care, and give medications throughout your day. Care-giving is family focused, and if desired by the patient, family involvement in care is allowed and encouraged. Our newly renovated Medical/Surgical and Obstetrical units have been designed to provide a comfortable, homelike atmosphere, with room temperatures that can be individually adjusted by the patient.
Nursing Philosophy
We believe in the dignity and value of each human life and that each human being is a unique biological, psycho-social and spiritual individual.
We dedicate ourselves to excellence as we care for the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our patients and family members.
We believe that the nursing care for each patient and family member should be holistic and individualized, and should integrate an efficient medical plan of care with an organized system to carry out that care.
We strive to create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning in which associates and patient/family members can acquire information in an atmosphere of open inquiry and mutual dialogue.
We believe in dignity and compassionate care for our patients and family during the dying process.
